Sydney-based IP networking distributor, Lan 1, has merged its business operations with specialist device connectivity and networking distributor, PowerCorp.
Under the arrangement, PowerCorp’s operations will to move to Lan 1’s Sydney headquarters with all new and existing business carried out under the Lan 1 name. PowerCorp will also close its Hornsby distribution centre, and its managing director, Brian Killin, will continue his tenure under Lan 1.
Lan 1 will also officially take on and support all of PowerCorp’s existing products and vendors including Lantronix, Barix, Perle, GarrettCom and Asentria.
According to Mathew Bertram, Marketing Manager, Lan 1, the merger of PowerCorp is part of a strategy to fast track the growth of its wired IP networking portfolio.
Killin expects minimal disruption to its business while the merger takes place.
“Our objective is to make this transition as smooth as possible. All existing customers who have current trading accounts with PowerCorp will be automatically given a trading account with Lan 1. They will still have access to all the products and services previously available from PowerCorp, and all valid warranties, maintenance, services and support agreements will be honoured by Lan 1,” Killin said.
Lan 1 is planning a mid-year national road show where they will be presenting their full portfolio of products, including those resulting from the PowerCorp merger, to new and existing channel partners around Australia. For further information about this event please email marketing@Lan1.com.au.
