Avnet and Oracle expand distie arrangement into A/NZ

Avnet will provide Oracle partners with channel support, including training, enablement, lead generation, co-marketing, technical integration, services and ongoing support

Avnet Technology Solutions has expanded its global distribution arrangement with Oracle into the Asia-Pacific market, including A/NZ.

In a statement, Avnet Technology Solutions Asia-Pacific president, KP Tang, said the collaboration with Oracle provided a strategic partner in the hardware and software solutions space.

In January, Avnet completed its acquisition of itX, which had an existing Oracle business in Australia.

“We then worked with Oracle on starting new franchises in ASEAN, India and New Zealand,” Tang said. “Our aim is to provide the right combination of resources to help bring more solutions to the market and educate and enable more business partners on Oracle solutions.”

Avnet will provide Oracle partners with channel support, including training, enablement, lead generation, co-marketing, technical integration, services and ongoing support.

Additionally, partners can leverage Avnet’s SolutionsPath practices to gain specialisation in the industries ideal for these solutions, such as energy, financial, government, healthcare and retail markets, as well as datacentre technology expertise related to mobility, networking, security, storage and virtualisation.

Avnet is a Platinum level member of the Oracle PartnerNetwork.
