Perth-based telecom company, Amcom Telecommunications, has inked a cloud partnership with Dimension Data subsidiary, BlueFire.
In a statement to the ASX, Amcom CEO, Clive Stein, said the partnership would propel the company’s entry into the cloud computing arena.
“With our existing IP voice offerings, we’re now adding a powerful suite of IT solutions hosted in the cloud,” Stein said.
“We anticipate that demand will grow exponentially and we are ready.”
The telco plans to launch its Cloud IT service in Q4, this financial year and it is expecting to add to its earnings and revenue from FY12.
BlueFire CEO, Adam Pozniak, said the partnership was a perfect fit and indicated Amcom had a large number of customers connected to their fibre network and datacentres.
BlueFire services about 400 mid-market and enterprise clients, and hosts more than 1200 servers across its six datacentres located in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide and Auckland.
