Backup and recovery vendor, Acronis, has hired Karl Sice as its new Pacific general manager.
The vendor's Asia-Pacific president, Bill Taylor-Mountford, previously occupied the role, until he was promoted in January last year.
Sice's responsibilities include overseeing business directions, market strategies, and maintaining the vendor’s presence in the SMB marketplace.
Prior to joining Acronis, Sice held regional sales management and professional services roles with companies including Gartner, Sun, American Express and Dell. “We have a highly effective local team and a dynamic channel network. I am looking forward to working with them as we step up to the untapped potentials at the higher end of the corporate market and government and public sectors,” Sice said.
In a statement, Taylor-Mountford, said Sice’s profile and achievements were a good fit for its business direction.
“Under his guidance, Acronis will consolidate our leadership position with SMBs across the Pacific and seize upstream opportunities,” Taylor-Mountford said.
