Sara Adams has been promoted to lead Cisco A/NZ’s newly created Partner Business Group, a move that combines the Partner Organisation and the Partner-Led Commercial Organisation.
The move to create the new organisation comes two months after the sudden departure of the Partner Organisation boss, Michael Lehmann, who reportedly left the company to pursue other interests in December after two years in the post.
Cisco A/NZ senior PR manager, Linda Horiuchi, said Adams and her team will focus on creating strategies and programs that increase profitable growth for partners and build partner capability to accelerate marketplace adoption of business architectures in datacentre/virtualisation, collaboration and mobility.
“She is a fantastic leader, she has great vision, and 13-plus years throughout Cisco. We’re really excited to have her in this newly created organisation and to have her in the new role,” Horiuchi told ARN.
The Partner Business Group is responsible for the strategy that supports Cisco’s business across more than 1,000 partners.
In addition to her previous role as Partner-Led Commercial sales team leader, she has also held positions at Cisco in the area of services, sales and product marketing.
Prior to Cisco, Adams worked in various IT companies including Claris, a subsidiary of Apple Computers. Her global industry experience has included positions in Australia, Canada, the UK and the US.

A massive congratulations to Sara! Sara from all I have seen is an amazing leader and a fabulous role model for women in the IT&T channel. It is fantastic that her talents are being recognised and supported with extra responsibility, I am sure those of us selling Cisco will all benefit from her expanded role.
