inTechnology has become a distributor for network and application performance analysis vendor, WildPackets.
The vendor is based in North America and picked inTechnology for its understanding of the intricacy of WildPackets’ technology. The distributor’s competencies include security and IT management.
inTechnology was introduced to WildPackets through another one of its vendor partners, Ekahau.
The distributor said the two vendors’ technology complemented each other and fleshed out InTechnology’s portfolio.
“We’ve been looking at the network analysis technology for a while and it had been sitting on the backburner,” inTechnology managing director, Mark Winter, said. “But we’ve really seen a demand in the last 6-12 months for network managers to analyse what they’re doing.
“We see our channel partners are in need of this type of technology.”
WildPackets’ standards-based network analysis product, OmiPeek, and its around-the-clock network traffic monitoring software, TimeLine, were welcome additions to the distributor’s product line-up, Winter said.
inTechnology has 360 resellers under its wing. About 30 of them will benefit from the new vendor deal.
The distributor is looking for four national IT integrators to take on the new products as well as several state-based resellers.
Nominations for the 2012 ARN IT Industry Awards open on Tuesday, June 12.
