Print vendor, Oki, has hired Greg Mikaelian as its new national sales manager.
Former head of sales, Graham Harman, will continue his involvement with OKI as a managed print services consultant.
Mikaelian recently spent more than 13 years with Acer as its general manager of channel sales, and also served a short time with notebook brand MSI.
“With Oki Data Corporation taking on the reigns 13 months ago, this is a clear indication of the corporation’s interest to pursue further expansion and investment in the region,” Mikaelian said.
Having recently introduced two new channel programs last year, the Accredited Business Partner network and the Executive Series channel, Oki is expanding its reach into the channel.
“Over the next 12 months we plan to go on a strong recruitment drive and build a premier channel to support this expansion,” he said. “The emphasis is not to go too wide, but rather go deep with a focus on key relationships, and partners addressing the target markets.”
Nominations for the 2012 ARN IT Industry Awards open on Tuesday, June 12.
