Microsoft appoints new consumer and online head

Microsoft has replaced the outgoing head of its Consumer & Online division, Alex Stewart, with Bruno Fiorentini, Jnr.
Stewart leftMicrosoft to become the chief financial officer of ninemsn. Fiorentini steps into the role and was previously the COO for Yahoo!7 in Australia. He is also a board advisor at Hyperlocalizer, vice-president of the Australia Brazil Chamber of Commerce, and chairman of Commique-se.
In a statement, Fiorentini said he was relishing the challenge of representing the software giant.
“My new role will concentrate on customer satisfaction, product share, revenue and growth of our consumer and online division," he said in a statement.
Nominations for the 2012 ARN IT Industry Awards open on Tuesday, June 12.
