US-based media software company, Extensis, has appointed Digistor its newest reseller.
Digistor is a digital solutions supplier and will be buying Extensis products through local distributor, Pica.
The relationship came about when Digistor began looking for a vendor to fill a digital asset management gap in its portfolio.
“In our space, a lot of clients have a lot of digital assets and we were looking for a way to propose to them solutions to effectively manage those and we came across Extensis,” Digistor group marketing manager, Mark Richards, said.
While the vendor traditionally works in the printing press and advertising verticals, Digistor will focus on integrating Extensis products into professional studio environments.
The reseller has access to Extensis’ entire software portfolio but is only concentrating on digital asset management products for now. It will focus on Extensis’ Portfolio Server family.
“We're very excited to be working with Digistor and believe that Portfolio Server's ability to handle large collections of rich media files will fit in neatly with Digistor's customers' requirements," Extensis Australia and New Zealand business director, Richard Bamford, said.
Digistor acquired 3D specialist reseller, Digital by Design, in March.
Nominations for the 2012 ARN IT Industry Awards open on Tuesday, June 12.
