Small business IT specialist, Calvert Technologies, has recruited Phil Tann to the dual role of account manager and business development manager.
After more than two years working as a business solutions consultant with Adam Internet, Tann’s responsibilities at Calvert include “sharing the love” with existing clients as well as winning new business. During the past decade, Phil has held sales roles with companies including Westech IT Solutions, The Electronic Brain and Leader Computers.
Calvert Technologies founder Dean Calvert said Tann’s arrival brought the full-time-equivalent head count to 12 staff.
“We have plenty of demand for work, but the challenge is finding the right people,” Calvert said. “Now that we have Phil in place, my next goal is to recruit an operations manager, whose role will involve ensuring that all the logistics and internal systems of the business fit together optimally.”
The 15-year-old company reported revenues of $2.75 million for the 2010 financial year and recorded a growth rate of more than 15 per cent.
Nominations for the 2012 ARN IT Industry Awards open on Tuesday, June 12.
