L7 deploys Nimsoft for cloud support and Vblock deployments

NMS will enable L7 to provide customers with complete performance monitoring and capacity planning as well as customised reporting for employees from front-line IT staff to upper management

IT managed services and consulting company, L7 Solutions, has deployed Nimsoft Monitoring Solution (NMS) to offer value-add monitoring of critical systems, including Vblock infrastructure packages.

NMS will enable L7 to provide customers with complete performance monitoring and capacity planning as well as customised reporting for employees from front-line IT staff to upper management. These capabilities allow L7 to differentiate its offerings with enhanced, consolidated visibility into infrastructure health, ensuring performance levels.

“It delivers the automation we need to fulfil the demanding requirements of clients with geographically-dispersed networks,” L7 managed services general manager, Glenn McAtee, said. “NMS plays a central role in our go-to-market strategy, since it enables us to differentiate ourselves with added value in an extremely competitive market.”

The managed services provider aims to use NMS to support the deployment of Vblock infrastructure packages to clients. Vblock infrastructure packages are integrated cloud packages from the VCE coalition, which is a collaboration of Cisco, EMC and VMware. NMS supplies complete monitoring for Vblocks, either on-premise or on-demand.

L7 is also using NMS internally.

“We’re focused on offering cloud services and have a number of Vblock deals in the process,” he said. “The combination of Vblock and NMS will be instrumental in helping us both improve internal operational efficiencies and deliver the highest quality of service to our clients.”
