HP has appointed Frontline Systems' Steve Murphy as its first president of its Enterprise Partner Advisory Council across Asia Pacific and Japan.
The council is comprised of a number of HP’s executive management team and members selected by the vendor from across the partner community.
Its goals are to develop HP’s partner strategy, play a role in developing specific initiatives with HP, and provide HP with insights from the partner community.
Murphy’s role will be to ensure the direction and priorities of the council are representative of the broader partner community.
“In my capacity as president of the newly formed Council, I am committed to bringing together the collective insights of the partner community, while ensuring we are best aligned to add value for HP and all of its channel partners in the region,” Murphy said in a statement.
Nominations for the 2012 ARN IT Industry Awards open on Tuesday, June 12.
