UXC Connect renews IT outsourcing contract with DIISR

The Department of Innovation, Industry, Science and Research contract was retained after a competitive tender process

UXC Connect has renewed its outsourcing services contract with the Department of Innovation, Industry, Science and Research (DIISR).

The contract was retained after a competitive tender process. The extension will see UXC Connect provision DIISR with a workspace management solution covering five main areas; server management, security management, business application infrastructure support, communications support and SOE management.

DIISR required a solution provider that could deliver a plan for ongoing improvement, provide value for money, continue its journey to ITSM maturity and provide the flexibility and coverage to support its changing business unit structure. Most importantly, DIISR required a solid partnership with a service provider that could connect its IT solution with the Department’s business objectives.

UXC Connect managing director, Paul Timmins, said the contract renewal demonstrated the success of its recent business transformation, to refocus its client service offering on the delivery of ICT services and integration solutions for business sustainability.

“UXC Connect’s focus on connecting business outcomes with IT solutions, and our specialisation around the delivery of business sustainability, particularly in the areas of critical infrastructure and Green IT aligned closely with DIISR’s core objectives in the innovation industry, science and research,” Timmins said.

In May the company revealed its new branding, services revamp and its significant investment strategy.
