A&R Computer Services enters administration

Another reseller hits the wall

South Australia-based computer retailer, A&R Computer Services has gone into administration.

Kennedy and Co had been appointed as administrators on October 20.

According to its website, the retailer was established in 1990, maintained six outlets across South Australia and employed more than 40 staff. It also ran a service and repair centre providing customers with technical and internet support.

The retailer states it was an NEC authorised Diamond dealer, Intel Channel Partner, BenQ Service Provider, Seagate Premier Partner and had achieved Lexmark SMB reseller of the year in 2005.

According to a report on the ABC West Coast SA a sign was posted on one of its premises in Gepps Cross, confirming the business had shut down. It had also stated the retailer had debt of about $2 million.

A&R's internet customers had been moved to Adam Internet to ensure their services will keep running.

The news follows the demise of NSW regional reseller, Computer Nerds Australia.

we have flexi rented this computer from A&R and would like to know where we stand as if the computer breaks down and who will fix it until it is paid off could you let me know thankyou
