Telstra is gearing up to release its very own Android-based tablet device.
According to an expression of interest form on the telco’s website, the tablet, dubbed the T-Touch Tab, will be exclusive to the NextG network. It is expected to be released in November.
Telstra is the latest member to join the tablet bandwagon, with Tegatech and Samsung releasing their own brand of tablets on the back of the successful Apple iPad.
Dell recently launched its Streak Mini exclusive with Optus. Samsung Galaxy Tab is set to hit Australia in November.
Telstra has no specified which vendor it has paired up with for the device.
More information to follow in the coming weeks. Interested parties can visit https://telstra.com.au/eoi/?FormID=241 to register their interest.
Nominations for the 2012 ARN IT Industry Awards open on Tuesday, June 12.
