Ingram Micro in New Zealand has specifically set up a new Apple business unit after landing a distribution agreement.
The deal involves Apple’s Mac desktops, laptops and accessories.
Kelly Eyerman will take charge of the new unit. She was previously the business unit director for the distributor’s US Mac Division where she was responsible for purchasing, marketing and sales.
In New Zealand, Apple is also distributed by Renaissance.
There are no plans to do the same in Australia, local Ingram Micro marketing director, Grant Cleary, confirmed.
Ingram has a global agreement to distribute Apple products in North America, India and parts of Europe.
In Australia Apple is distributed through Express Online, Simms International, itX and Brightpoint.
Nominations for the 2012 ARN IT Industry Awards open on Tuesday, June 12.
