Cloud computing consultant, Sqware Peg, has promoted Adrian Jones as its country manager in Australia.
Jones will be based in Sydney and is responsible for business development, operations, account management and overall company momentum. He has previously worked with the company for four years in a regional sales capacity.
Sqware Peg CEO, Shawn Stilwell, said the appointment of a country manager would enable it to focus on strategic growth opportunities in the cloud computing sector.
“Adrian will provide the organisational skills and industry acumen we need to manage this growth for the benefit of customers,” Stilwell said.
Jones has more than 15 years experience in the IT industry and prior to joining Sqware Peg, he was the general manager of sales and marketing at CCH Publishing.
He has also held various roles with Dunn and Bradstreet and has spent seven years with ICL Fujitsu in the UK. “This change enables us to capitalise on what we believe is a significant market opportunity in Australia, that is supported by our customer base, strategic partners, committed consultants and technologies,” Jones said.
Nominations for the 2012 ARN IT Industry Awards open on Tuesday, June 12.
