Microsoft Australia veteran and partner strategy marketing and programs director, Inese Kingsmill, has jumped ship to Telstra (ASX:TLS) to take on a key marketing role.
Kingsmill has yet to start her role, but will be the director of business unit marketing and communications under the chief marketing officer, Kate McKenzie.
According to Microsoft partner director, George Stavrakis, a replacement will be sought out and appointmented over the next few weeks.
"Inese has made the difficult decision to pursue external opportunities," he said in a statement. "We thank Inese for all her hard work and commitment during her tenure and wish her all the best."
Kingsmill appointment comes amid a series of reshuffles at the telco giant, which said she would help replace departing senior staff.
“Telstra also advised that after more than six years…director brands advertising and digital, Chantal Walker, announced today that she has decided to leave Telstra,” a Telstra spokesperson said in a statement.
The former Microsoft stalwart was speaking to the media as recently as September 2 about formally launching its partner hub. She had been at the company since 1994.
Nominations for the 2012 ARN IT Industry Awards open on Tuesday, June 12.
