Retail equipment distributor, Pos Pos, has severed ties with longtime vendor, Wincor Nixdorf.
Pos Pos had been distributing for the German-based retail and banking sector centric vendor for five years.
Conflict with Wincor Nixdorf’s business model was pinned as the reason for the two parting ways.
“[I]n addition to hardware, Wincor Nixdorf’s business model requires a significant focus on full solutions that include software and services, which are not core to the traditional distribution model,” Pos Pos CEO, Daniel Danielli, said in a statement. “We have, therefore, come to an amicable decision to no longer represent them as a vendor.”
As a result, Pos Pos sales and marketing director, Vik Devjee, who initiated the partnership has left the distributor to represent the vendor’ in Australia through a new company. He will take over to service existing Wincor Nixdorf resellers and customers.
Grant Cleland, who established the distributor’s NSW business, will take over from Devjee as head of sales and marketing for Pos Pos.
Nominations for the 2012 ARN IT Industry Awards open on Tuesday, June 12.
