Adelaide-based Calvert Technologies has moved into an office two times bigger than its previous location.
The new Payneham location measures 464sqm – significantly larger than the 200sqm it previously crammed 11 employees into.
Calvert managing director, Dean Calvert, said the new location should be able to comfortably house 24 people, which he doesn’t expect to fill for 3-4 more years.
“We’d been looking for a place close to the city, but that fell through,” Calvert said. “The building had been on the market for a few years, but the space being occupied was the top floor, and had no elevator. We arranged to occupy the bottom floor instead, which the owners were happy to accommodate.”
Calvert said the change in plan had proven to be a welcome one, with the building a well-known Adelaide icon.
The move had been received as a positive one by customers, couriers and other organisations Calvert deals with.
The location 298 Payneham Rd, Payneham, is 3-4 kms away from the Adelaide CBD.
