Melbourne-based distributor, Alloys , has added document scanning vendor, Visioneer, to its product portfolio.
Alloys CEO, Paul Harman, said the vendor had a strong desire to get involved in the Australian market and it did not have a distributor in this region.
“Document management is quite a specialised area of the market and we’re trying to make sure we’re giving our customers the best bandwidth of products,” Harman said.
“It extends our range and provides more options in the mobility and desktop area. We’ve currently got a large range of stock and we’ll continue to refine it over time.”
Over the next 12 months, he anticipated Visioneer would contribute about $1 million in revenue for the distributor. “We expect with the breadth of the line, it will continue to grow from there,” Harman said.
Alloys specifically focuses on the SME market, and he would like to attract resellers that get involved in paper lifecycle management. There will be some investment incentives that will become available.
Visioneer senior vice-president of sales, Bill Kouzi, said Alloy’s expertise in document management would be instrumental in helping to build and service resellers.

Paperless Office
Great Product.
Have used a couple of the better priced models as well as had a few demos at Alloys, they seem to be a great line for them.
