Bluechip Infotech has added consumer electronics manufacturer, AC Ryan, to its product portfolio.
The partnership will concentrate on AC Ryan’s range of Playon! high-definition (HD) media player and a soon-to-be launched digital video recorder.
According to Bluechip, this is an exclusive distribution deal and it has no competing product range within its line-up.
“Media players are part of our strategy to address the home and SME market,” Bluechip director, Johnson Hsiung, said. “It fits into the SME space as storage, for entertainment and can be used for digital signage.”
Hsiung said Bluechip will not initially target the overcrowded national retail space.
“Sales revenue boost will start from $100,000 to several hundred thousand in the next few months,” he anticipated.
AC Ryan commercial director, Lewis Goh, was delighted with the partnership.
Nominations for the 2012 ARN IT Industry Awards open on Tuesday, June 12.
