Welcome to the final Penalty Box, ARN's daily World Cup 2010 wrap.
- LATEST SCORES:
- Anyware Computer Accessories (Spain) 1 WhiteGold Solutions (Holland) 0
We hate to say so but we predicted it - the best team in the world won the World Cup winners with a goal in extra time. And a fitting result it was. WhiteGold Solutions didn't really play to win - more to survive and take its chances in a penalty shootout. Anyware was supreme and the goal when it came was beautiful. It may have been a little unfair as WhiteGold had a free kick at the other end that deflected for a corner which wasn't given. From the resulting goal kick, Anyware streamed forward, Fabregas picked out Iniesta and the midfielder did the rest.
Anyware team captain, Cameron Anstee, said it was a great feeling to win.
"My heart was in my mouth a couple of times when WhiteGold had a couple of one-on-one chances with the keeper," Anstee said. "But it was just enough and we won."
Congratulations to Anyware Computer Accessories.
Nominations for the 2012 ARN IT Industry Awards open on Tuesday, June 12.
