Newly established cloud-distributor, InfraServe, has signed its first vendor partner with security services provider, Seccom Global.
InfraServe will supply Seccom’s range of products and managed services across Asia-Pacific. The distributor announced its business model to market earlier this month.
InfraServe managing director and founder, Roy Pater, said the partnership provided an opportunity to supply security services to the reseller market.
“We want to assist resellers in successfully selling cloud solutions,” Pater said. “When you break it down it’s not much different to buying hardware and software to build a solution. The only difference is instead of buying the hardware, the reseller sells it a- a-service but a solution still needs to be architected, built and managed.
“The client pays by the month instead of on a once off basis.”
Pater pointed out that for resellers to provide managed services well, it needs to have a secure and reliable platform.
Seccom CIO, Gavin Matthews, said the agreement would provide the channel with access to managed security services with the support and backup of distribution.
“InfraServe understand what managed services are all about, and are well placed to support resellers that want to grow their portfolio,” Matthews said. “There has been a gap in the distribution market in the Asia-Pacific and InfraServe has recognised this.”
