Video surveillance vendor, Axis Communications, has hired two new staff to help meet market demand.
Trevor Westhead has been hired as the regional sales manager covering Victoria, Western Australia, South Australia and Tasmania.
Westhead was previously account manager for Alloys International.
Michael Pazarcevic has been appointed to the position of inside sales representative, supporting both Australia and New Zealand.
Pazarcevic’s resume includes experience as a sales representative with Open Platform Systems and Anixter.
His primary focus in his new role will be to support the local market channels.
Both Westhead and Pazarcevic will be based in Melbourne. “With these additions to our team I am confident that Axis will perform with continued strong growth in both countries,” Axis country manager, Wai King Wong, said in a statement.
“The migration to IP-based network video surveillance continues to gather speed and these hires are part of our strategic plan for increased support of our expanding scope of projects and customers in the region.”
Nominations for the 2012 ARN IT Industry Awards open on Tuesday, June 12.
