German-based content management provider, CoreMedia, is looking to ramp up its Australian presence and recruit partners.
Types of channel organisations sought include system integrators that have a presence in government, telecommunications, media and broadcasting markets. Its content system management product is sold under a licensing model.
“We’re supporting organisations in their Internet presence. Not only with their website, but also how they can communicate with customers through social networks and mobile technologies,” CoreMedia vice-president of marketing Rene Hermes, said. “We specifically play in the high end of the market and work with demanding websites.
“These days, more consumers approach websites through mobiles and are more active in social networking. If consumers are active in social networking, companies need to be active there too.”
Last year, CoreMedia won its first Australian customer deal with ABC, which deployed its content management system across all websites with the help of NCS Australia. Besides Germany, the company also has offices in the US, Singapore and UK.
“We’re exploring opportunities to further build our presence in the Australian market,” Hermes said. “We need to take a very active role in taking the technology to market, engaging with enterprise organisations and ramping up a channel that can support us.”
Ideally, CoreMedia will bring on a combination of technology and marketing partners.
“Marketing partners are often involved in front-end design of the website and we need a partner that can bring it together, being the system integrator,” he said. “We don’t need to be on every corner, but if a partner approaches us with a strong presence, profile and sees the benefits of bringing our technology to market, then we’re interested in working with them.”
Hermes added CoreMedia did have tools in place to help support partners such as sales and technical training.
“We are aware we have to significantly invest to make partnerships work,” he said. “Even though we have a direct sales effort, we always work with a partner to help close the deal.”
