Adobe has announced that it will be launching the next version of its Creative Suite on April 12. No other details were provided, but we're expecting to see Photoshop CS5, Illustrator CS5, InDesign CS5, Flash CS5, Dreamweaver CS5, After Effects CS5, Premiere Pro CS5 and CS5 versions of all the rest of the bundle. The suite may also include the new Flash Catalyst desktop app design tool, which has been in beta since June 2009.
So far Adobe has given a few sneak peeks of tools expected to be included in 'CS5': including a Painter-style paint system and an After Effects-inspired Puppet tool to Photoshop; and iPhone, iPad and Blackberry app development tools to Flash.
Check back on the Digital Arts site on April 12 for an in-depth guide to the new applications, including step-by-step guides to each program's new tools.
