ARN Awards for 2010 announced

Towards a brighter future theme for this year's awards recognises the challenges of 2009 and the opportunities emerging in 2010

ARN has announced the prestigious fourth annual IT Industry Awards celebration for 2010. These landmark awards are our industry’s chance to reward IT organisations and professionals for their superb achievements over the past 12 months. The 2010 ARN IT Industry Awards will be presented at a Celebration Dinner on September 16, 2010, at the Sydney Hilton Hotel.

Attendance at the ARN awards continues to increase every year, reaching more than 600 executives from across Australia’s channel community in 2009. The ongoing success of the event proves its importance on the IT industry calendar.

The 2010 theme, Towards a Brighter Future, recognises the tougher 2009 market climate but the stronger and more buoyant industry emerging this year.

To ensure we keep recognising innovative and strong performing organisations and individuals, ARN has added several new awards to the categories list this year including Best Vendor Initiative with an Emerging Technology (in 2010 our focus area will be cloud computing), Best Mid-Market Reseller and Best Reseller Performance Initiative.

Award winners will be chosen by the 60-strong judging panel made up of notable industry representatives from the vendor, distributor and reseller community.

Nominations for the judging-based awards open on June 9 and close on July 16. More details will be released in coming months.

Separately, ARN also be running the popular vote, online-only Channel Choice awards to give readers the chance to vote for their favourite vendor, distributor, reseller and retailer in Australia.

Inside our 2010 Awards section, you’ll find a list of the 2010 award categories along with this year’s judging panel. There’s also information on previous winners as well as multimedia highlights from the 2008 and 2009 events.
