gizmo has been included in the Apple Consultants Network (ACN). The home computer services provider, is also a MicrosoftGold partner. CEO, Ben Ashton, said it is the only national company with accreditations from the two major PC suppliers.
“We’ve been doing a lot of Mac work already, but this gives us additional endorsements to get into customer homes,” Ashton said. “Apple retailers can refer people to us. It’s an added promotional tool.”
gizmo offers a wide range of technology services for customers, including one called Switch Me, which helps PC users transfer data or move from a PC to Mac.
“Our whole business has been built around what customers need,” Ashton said.
Gizmo manages about 25,000 customer calls per month, he said.
Ashton was recently appointed to the role, replacing Brett Chenoweth, who helped set up the business in 2006. Prior to joining gizmo, Ashton was the COO of Staging Connections Group and was the managing director of Exhibitions and Trade Fairs.
