Mass retailer, Harris Technology, has partnered with VoIP provider, engin, to offer bundled handset packages aimed at SMBs.
According to engin head of business sales, Jack McKeon, the new solution was formed after the telco was approached by Harris Technology in late 2009.
“Harris has a number of business development managers for appropriate products, who can visit customers on their premises if necessary,” he said.
KcKeon also added he would be interested in talking to resellers in an effort to boost potential customer numbers.
“Demand for this product is growing significantly," he said. "Small businesses are embracing VoIP in greater numbers than ever before.”
The partnership comes on the back of a move by engin to cut its number of resellers. According to McKeon, many partners were not providing enough dedication to the telco and would be dropped.
Harris Technology recently partnered with Dell for an SMB push and has previously announced it would close down about 10 stores nationally, putting a stronger focus in its online efforts.
