Transition Systems has become the first distributor for US-based audio-visual (AV) vendor, Vaddio.
Transition had been exclusively involved with teleconferencing vendor, All on Polycom, but recently branched out to distribute Motorola’s wireless networking products.
Vaddio deals in remote-control camera systems, surveillance cameras and has recently entered into the videoconferencing market. Transition Systems saw the vendor’s products as a good fit for its Polycom resellers.
The distributor's country manager, Mike Beesley, said the company heard of Vaddio’s plans to extend channel partnerships in Australia and seized the opportunity to forge an exclusive deal with the vendor.
“Traditionally, Vaddio has strong ties with the AV industry and had distributed directly into the country,” he said. “A lot of their resellers are actually existing partners of ours since AV companies are heading into the conferencing and integration space.”
Transition Systems is taking over Vaddio’s existing reseller base, which includes up to 70 partners. In a statement, the vendor was confident the new partnership will help recruit more resellers.
Beesley said the vendor’s products are well-suited for videoconferencing applications in the education sector.
Having entered the Australian market just 12 months ago, Transition is looking to generate about $800,000 in revenue this year. The company is part of Transition Systems Asia.
