Kensington has built a website to better deal with resellers.
It is the first partner portal the IT accessories vendor has launched in Australia.
The site provides resources such as product information, images and sales kits to assist distributors and resellers selling Kensington products to customers.
Previously, obtaining collateral and sales material required calling the vendor directly or approaching authorised distributors.
However, the site doesn't have a stock ordering option, so partners will have to go through traditional ordering methods.
Kensington product manager, Sam Goldstein, said the aim of the portal is to interact more closely with its channel network.
“We’re looking to get closer to partners, engage better with our distributors and increase engagement with resellers,” he said.
“This is particularly the case for Kensington’s reseller base as it largely goes through distributors so we want to get closer to resellers to build their business.”
The vendor is planning to expand the website based on feedback. It is also looking to introduce incentive programs to the channel through the portal.
Nominations for the 2012 ARN IT Industry Awards open on Tuesday, June 12.
