Motorola has introduced a new program for its global reseller base.
PartnerEmpower program combines all Motorola Enterprise Mobility Solutions (EMS) partners under one channel framework. It will comprise three distinct tracks in core technology areas including wireless network solutions, mobility and radio.
Motorola vice-president for EMS Asia-Pacific, Paul Blinkhorn, said PartnerEmpower brought together different programs under one network.
“It will continue to provide certifications and specialisation under the three technology tracks,” he said. “Everything will be maintained within previous programs, but it will evolve over the next 18 months.”
Resellers can earn designations as a PartnerEmpower specialist or elite specialist. They also gain access to marketing, sales and technical benefits, tools, support and promotions to help generate more revenue and gain efficiencies. The global channel network also provides collaboration opportunities among members.
In a statement, vice-president of global channels, Motorola EMS, Janet Schijns, said a single channel program allowed Motorola to focus its attention on benefits and resources that offer the most value to partners, while establishing processes and competency programs that help partners go to market more profitably.
“PartnerEmpower will help us build greater marketing momentum to support partner demand generation and more easily promote the critical role that our channel partners play in driving better information and results for customers,” Schijns said.
In Australia, Motorola has more than 400 EMS partners. Blinkhorn said he would like to expand the company’s market reach beyond retail and supply chain areas to include health care.
In February Motorola has signed on Transition Systems as its wireless networking distributor.
