Computer Engineer Barbie
Ladies and gentlemen, I'd like to introduce the newest member of our IT department: Computer Engineer Barbie. She's hip, stylish, and a real whiz when it comes to fixing faulty motherboards.
All right, look, Computer Engineer Barbie doesn't have the job yet. But I'm pulling for her. This chick's qualified, man -- and, just between us, I think she might have a thing for me.
Meet Computer Engineer Barbie
Silly as it may sound, Computer Engineer Barbie is no creation of my imagination. Mattel announced the new geek-friendly figurine today following a worldwide vote on its official Facebook and Twitter pages.
Computer Engineer Barbie will become the 125th career-specific Barbie, winning an impressive half a million votes (only four of which came from me, I swear). And lest you think Computer Engineer Barbie is just another cute doll in the office, both the Society of Women Engineers and the National Academy of Engineering have put their stamps of approval on this tech-savvy sister.
The two groups helped design Ms. B's signature look, which includes a binary code t-shirt, a stylish pink watch, and some geek-chic glasses. Computer Engineer Barbie also sports a Bluetooth earpiece and fancy smartphone, though it's hard to tell whether she's an iPhone or Android kind of gal. And of course, she carries her own travel-sized laptop, too.
Unfortunately, as Ken knows all too well, a dongle is not included.
