RailCorp continues to ride with Fujitsu

NSW rail company extends managed services contract with Fujitsu

RailCorp has extended its managed services contract with IT firm, Fujitsu, after a three-year relationship.

Fujitsu will continue servicing the NSW state-owned rail company’s desktop support, service desk, server management and datacentre operations. The contract has been extended for two years. According to the outsourcer, it has delivered improved service levels, enhanced information security and lowered overall ICT costs for the clients over the past three years.

Fujitsu executive director for managed services, Joel O’Halloran, said the outsourcing deal allowed RailCorp to focus on core business processes to enhance the service delivery processes of its ICT.

“Fujitsu has ensured that RailCorp’s ICT infrastructure has been working to maximum efficiency by providing specialist resources, as well as increased levels of service to lower the cost of service delivery,” he said in a statement.

Did no one notice the recent malware attack that swept through the ICT network as well as Station Platform Indication networks?
