NBNco calls for satellite services

Satellite equipment and service providers asked to submit capability statements

The company responsible for the National Broadband Network (NBN) rollout is calling on satellite network operators and equipment providers capable of supporting satellite services to provide capability statements.

In a release, NBN Co said it would like responses from qualified partners that can offer key elements of the satellite network, as well as those “prepared to work cohesively with other suppliers to jointly provide a complete solution”.

“Submissions must recognise and address the special technical requirements of NBN Co’s high-speed broadband network,” the company said in a statement. Five to 10 of the suppliers will then be shortlisted and asked to join a request for proposal process with the winner taking providing satellite services to NBN customers.

The call for statements comes days after NBNco released a timeline of when FTTP-related suppliers would be publicly shortlisted and asked to join a formal request for proposal process.

All written and electronic responses must be sent in by 5pm on February 15. To download the necessary forms, visit the NBNco’s website.

Television channels broadcast by the use of satellite is called satellite TV channels. There is no unmixed blessing on earth. Everything has its dark side. Despite the dark side of the programs of satellite TV, it is beneficial. Some channels cause cultural decay and moral degradation by telecasting obscene & violent movies, music, dance & song. Young people most often watch the exciting films on violence & crime. They also see the obscene films. All these things leave a damaging effect on their soft mind. If once bad things lay root deeply in their soft mind, it will remain on their mind. We can enrich and foster our national culture by telecasting programs enriched with our own age old traditional social values in stead of frequent telecast of satellite cultural programs. We should try to imitate what is good in satellite culture & give up what is bad there.
