Cisco will increase the list price of select services offerings, effective from February 1.
The last time the vendor revised services prices was in April last year, with the majority increase being between 12-25 per cent. The value of the latest increases have not been confirmed. Cisco declined to comment on the price increases.
According an online statement posted by Cisco partner, Westcon Group, the impending rise will mean any open Cisco Services (SmartNet/Smart Foundation) quotes containing an affected partcode become invalid after 5pm on Thursday 28 January, 2009. If the customer places a Cisco Services order after this time, Westcon may be required to provide updated pricing.

Express Data Cisco business manager, James Mackay, attributed the pricing changes to an alignment of the vendor’s SmartNet product and services portfolio, as well as those supporting end-of-life products. He also expected some services pricing to decrease inline with product price tags.
More details will become available over the next week.
