Leaked pictures and specifications of a Motorola tablet running Google Android have been doing the rounds online this weekend. The mysterious 3G device has a large display and will run a full suite of Google applications.
Also known as the XT701, the Motorola Android tablet revealed by the Boy Genius Report features a 3.7-inch touchscreen with a resolution of 854 by 480 pixels, and is powered by a Cortex A8 processor. The specs also show support for 3G data (WCDMA / HSDPA 10.2M / HSUPA 5.76M).
Moto's Android tablet is packed with other features as well: 5-megapixel camera with autofocus and flash (unlike previous rumors of an 8-megapixel camera), aGPS, FM radio, WiFi and Bluetooth; and it can store up to 32GB of data (via MicroSD cards).
The Motorola Android Tablet from the Android Central leaked pictures (left) has a slightly unusual hump on the side, which hosts illuminated touch-controls for the camera and photo/video gallery. Dedicated power and camera buttons can be found on the side, along a volume rocker.
If this tablet ever makes it in the U.S., expect a full suite of Google applications running on the Android 2.0 device. Apparently, this tablet will be out first in China. Also, BGR's specs point out that Android Market support is still pending.
