Conroy wants to get inside your head

Communications Minister implores public to contribute to broadband discourse

Broadband Minister, Senator Stephen Conroy, is calling for the public to participate in the upcoming Realising Our Broadband Future forum through an online portal.

The event is being held in Sydney on December 10-11 with Prime Minister, Kevin Rudd, as a keynote speaker. Its official website will be a domain for the public to contribute ideas and discuss the five main themes of the event: Smart infrastructure, digital education, e-health, e-business and e-communities.

Contributions can be in the form of a link to personal YouTube videos and users can vote on which digital economy ideas is the most appealing.

"We are inviting the public to be part of shaping our future vision by suggesting ideas and commenting on other contributions to the Realising Our Broadband Future forum this week," Senator Conroy said in a statement. "This forum is an important event to explore how Australia is already planning to maximise the benefits enabled by the National Broadband Network."
