Lenovo makes move into netbooks

Lenovo has launched the IdeaPad S12, its first 12-inch netbook, in Australia.
The netbook has a full-sized keyboard, multi-touch touchpad and variable specifications, depending on user selections, and pricing starts from $799.
According to Lenovo, the IdeaPad S12 is capable of using a 320GB hard drive and 3GB of RAM. A 4-in-1 card reader and ExpressCard slot access for external devices and the entire unit weighs 1.5kg.
The device will be available in December through Lenovo directly or via its business partners.
Nominations for the 2012 ARN IT Industry Awards open on Tuesday, June 12.
