Netsolutions appoints NSW state manager

Former CipherTrust country manager, Bob Jones, takes on new role.

Networking and security integrator, Netsolutions, has appointed Bob Jones as its NSW state manager.

Established in Melbourne in 1995, Netsolutions is a specialist Juniper Networks and IBM partner.

In the newly created role, Jones will head up the integrator’s first NSW office and its second location in the country.

He will focus on tending existing client relationships in NSW and the ACT as well as broadening the customer base to those headquartered in Sydney and nationally placed.

“A lot of the work will be word-of-mouth through our representatives,” Jones said. “We have partnerships with some of our vendors where we are held in high regard and customers we hold in high regard that will provide us recommendations into other organisations.”

While sales definitely come into play, Jones said it was not his only concern.

“I come from a technical engineering consulting background so aside from expanding our customer base, I will be providing some expertise to customers as well,” he said.

Prior to joining Netsolutions, Jones spent a year as country manager at software vendor, CipherTrust, until it was snapped up by Secure Computing.

He previously worked at WAN optimisation company, Packeteer, for four years.
