Integ has formed a partnership with Alcatel Lucent to chase carrier-grade communication solutions opportunities.
Integ has been an Alcatel Lucent partner for eight years, however the new partnership includes IP/MLS and optical transmission solutions. It is a new indirect model for these Alcatel Lucent technologies. Integ will sit alongside the vendor’s direct model and customers.
Integ CEO, Ian Poole, said the integrator was always on the lookout for opportunities in high growth markets, and carrier-grade technology was on the rise among verticals including mining, utilities, energy and government.
“We share a similar focus on these markets with Alcatel Lucent, so it was a good, natural expansion to our preexisting partnership,” Poole said.
Integ plans on ramping up the business to generate 20 per cent of revenue within the next three years – combining products and services.
The integrator will look to hire staff with specific capabilities around this area, Poole said. It will also leverage existing staff skills and cross-train its services staff.
