Services and integration company, The Frame Group, has built on a recent partnership with Melbourne Airport by completing a 20-year infrastructure plan.
The Frame Group’s first engagement with Melbourne came about a year ago, and led to the recent tender win against two rival bids. National sales manager, Roger Barlow, said it was a significant deal, as the airport will be making major investments running into the millions in coming years.
“We were selected based on our ability to engage in strategy as well as be involved in design and implementation afterwards,” he said. “We have a number of other big contract wins to be announced in the coming months – business is going very briskly for us at the moment.”
A key issue was identifying how to consolidate ICT services across tenants and airlines in order to reduce the cost of operating at Melbourne Airport. The Frame Group developed an enterprise service provider (ESP) framework in response to this requirement, putting the focus on managing services rather than their infrastructure components in isolation.
