Dynamic Supplies and its managed services business, PrintSolv, have broadened the tools on offer to resellers.
The Proactiv Supplies Fulfilment tool is a small piece of software installed on the end-client’s network which sends printer and copier information back to the fulfilment system. It then monitors a client’s toner levels and proactively flags an order when the level reaches a predetermined threshold.
Dynamic Supplies managing director, Scott McLennan, said the development of the new tool is a reflection of the popularity of the PrintSolv solution.
“In the past six months, there has been a massive take-up in managed print solutions with printer and copier resellers alike,” McLennan said. “There are a lot of vendor-run solutions out there – we wanted to offer the market something independent of the vendors, so we set-up PrintSolv.”
The Proactiv Supplies Fulfilment solution is bundled with the PrintSolv solution. McLennan said Dynamics and PrintSolv would be doing a number of demonstrations to show off the new tool in the initial stages of its go-to-market strategy.
There has been a great deal of activity in the managed print space recently. HP announced the creation of a new group dedicated to managed print, and local distributor, Phoenix Toner, introduced its own managed print solution.
