Palm webOS 1.2 available now

Palm Pre owners should go update their phone, as webOS 1.2 is now available for download. This comes on the heels of a slew of leaks and, of course, an iTunes update that broke the Pre's ability to sync with Apple's software. The bad news is: webOS 1.2 does not fire a volley back in the neverending tit-and-tat between Palm and Apple regarding iTunes syncing. If you have iTunes 9.01, upgrading to webOS 1.2 will not let you sync with your Pre.
The good news is: webOS 1.2 is full of lots of other goodies. You can buy Amazon MP3 songs over a phone network (not just Wi-Fi), the groundwork for e-commerce in now there, and browser bookmarks are not backed up with your profile. There are dozens of tweaks and changes; virtually every included app and service has seen some improvement. For the full list, check out Palm's release notes.
