Juniper partner, Netsolutions, has opened a Research and Development Centre in Port Melbourne to showcase new products and proof-of-concepts to customers.
The services company has invested in excess of $1 million in the facility, which has been running for three months and is equipped with a range of Juniper products including Security Threat Response Manager, WX Application Accelerators, EX Switching and Unified Access Control.
Netsolutions managing director, Theo Dimopoulos, said the centre would help drive solution implementation and drive innovation.
“A couple of our key clients can’t run proof-of-concepts in their own environments,” he said. “The Centre allows them to run through proof-of-concepts much quicker, and allows us to run through chance control and updates in a lab environment first.”
Netsolutions will continue to add new technologies as they come through, Dimopoulos said. Initial reaction to it from customers had been enthusiastic.
“One client, we gave complete access to the facility, and they love it,” he said.
Nominations for the 2012 ARN IT Industry Awards open on Tuesday, June 12.
