Observatory Crest taps into Axway security

Observatory Crest has signed its third vendor for the year, and will take Axway’s Tumbleweed portfolio to market.
The agreement covers Axway’s secure file transfer, email encryption and security, and identity validation solutions. It joins the distributor’s two recent partners, F5 Networks and Arista Networks. Observatory Crest director, Martin Christmas, said the Tumbleweed portfolio was of interest as a complementary product to the F5 business.
“When we view a product, we view it in terms of how much we can leverage our existing partner relationships with the business, and we see good opportunity around F5,” Christmas said.
Observatory Crest was not aggressively pursuing further business partners, Christmas said, but was open to opportunities, and was seeing a fair amount of activity in the market.
In a release, Axway regional channels head, David Jones, said Observatory Crest’s value-adding capabilities were appealing.
“In Observatory Crest we have a partner that not only understands out business but can provide professional services that add value to our solutions,” Jones said in the release. “Our agreement with Observatory Crest seeks to expand our reach in conjunction with some of the solutions it already represents in the Australian and New Zealand markets.”
Earlier in the year, Axway flagged its desire to increase channel presence in the local market following its merger with Tumbleweed.
