Check Point ticks Manaccom's box

Manaccoms to distribute the vendor's enterprise offering

ASX-listed distributor, Manaccom (ASX:MNL) has expanded its relationship with Check Point to access the vendor’s enterprise solutions.

Manaccom already carries the vendor’s consumer solution, ZoneAlarm, and while the expanded range won't cover Check Point's entire range of enterprise products, it will give the distributor a push into a broader space.

Check Point sales manager, Nigel Gutschlag, said the new partnership provided additional visibility in the enterprise space by giving it access to a different set of resellers to its other distributor, Westcon Group.

Check Point has been represented in Australia by Westcon Group since dropping Express Data in 2006.

"We realised that the endpoint security market is growing and we need to be doing more to grow channels and pick up new customers," Check Point sales manager, Nigel Gutschlag, said.

Check Point was not looking to make further distributor appointments in the near term, he added.

In a statement, Manaccom deputy chairman, Ian Mackay, said the ability to offer a more complete solution will resonate well in the market.

Manaccom has been enjoying a profitable period and posted strong results posted to the ASX in August, despite a breakdown in its relationship with mainstay vendor partner, Trend Micro, earlier in the year. It also took on MYOB earlier in the year to strengthen its business software portfolio.
