WA-based Avaya reseller, Total Connect, has been placed into administration.
Ferrier Hodgson was appointed administrators to the company on August 13. A spokesperson for the company confirmed it had held its first creditors’ meeting, with a second set for on or around September 13.
The spokesperson claimed the business had been advertised for sale, and there had been interest in purchasing it. He declined to comment further.
Total Connect is owned by Brad Giles, who recently launched a consultancy organisation called Brad Giles Consulting. According to his LinkedIn profile, Total Connect provided office infrastructure in WA, had relationships with Avaya, Alcatel, Microsoft, Juniper, Polycom and Sun, and maintained 65 employees. Sources close to the company claimed current and previous staff had expressed concern about the way the business was being run prior to administrators being appointed.
The reseller moved premises late last year to its current location at Colin Place, West Perth. The company, which has also traded under Exabit and Total Cabling Solutions, has taken down its website and attempts to contact it and its owner have been unsuccessful.
Nominations for the 2012 ARN IT Industry Awards open on Tuesday, June 12.
