Japanese-based integrator and solution provider, NTT Data, has completed its acquisition of SAP specialist, Extend Technologies.
The acquisition involved the purchase of 51 per cent of Extend shares. It follows on from NTT Data’s 2008 acquisition of Cirquent and major SAP global partner, itelligence.
Extend will continue to trade with its current branding and staff.
Managing director, Max White, said there had already been more opportunities generated as a result of the acquisition, which will result in the hiring of additional staff.
“The company will remain a lot of autonomy,” White said. “As a part of NTT Data we will benefit from a global reach of singularly focused SAP companies.”
NTT Data and Extend shared complementary cultural alignments and similar values, he said.
Australia is proving to be a lucrative market for SAP at the moment, with the vendor recently posting strong revenue rises for the year.
